Roman owl pencil topper

This Roman Owl pencil topper is made from lead-free pewter (with a gold plated option) and is a 3D model of an owl on a base with a key design. It is supplied on a 13cm black wooden pencil with Roman numerals and their decimal equivalent values printed on it in silver.

Minerva was the goddess of wisdom and of war in Roman mythology. She is often depicted with her sacred creature, an owl usually named as the "owl of Minerva", which symbolised her association with wisdom and knowledge. Owls were therefore popular in jewellery and coinage.
