The Cyprus Tapes is a book which explodes several myths, and debunks many of the horror stories which have been propogated by broadcasters and journalists who have relied on the Greek version of 'the truth' about the troubled Island of Cyprus since 1963, leading up to the creation of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in 1983. It does not pretend to be a comprehensive history of the events in Cyprus; neither does it set out to apportion blame on the people of one side or the other, nor is it a study in legality. Instead it is a dramatised documentary which focuses on a small group of Turkish and Greek Cypriots, British expatriates, UN soldiers, and a journalist trying to do his job.
