The Etruscans Begin to Speak

Starting out from an intuition which came to him when he was working in a different philological field, Mayani finds new paths along which to make an exploration of Etruscan language, paths which others before him seem to have attempted to follow but prematurely abandonded. We watch Etruscan inscriptions suddenly acquiring a meaning under his hand; the picture accompanying them stand out in a new light; words organise themselves into sentences; nouns, verbs and endings appear, and a whole grammar, hitherto unknown takes shape.
