The Mycenaeans in History

What violent hand flung the Mycenaean civilization down, into centuries of obscurity, remains unknown to us. But as Alan E. Samuel declares, " Great cultural achievements do not die easily. The thousand years of the growth of Mycenaean civilization have not been lost completely." Through its influence on the later Hellenes, the Mycenaean achievement played a significant role in the making of that civilization which has been the inspiration and education of our own.
